In Colonial England, a grandmother tells her grandson the fantastical tale of ‘The Fiddler in the Darkness.’ The story begins as a priest finds a crying baby on the steps of his church, with a fiddle on one side and his dead parents on the other. Christopher Wood grows up living in the church. One day he finds out that his childhood crush has unexpectedly died. After the young woman’s funeral, Christopher discovers that with his fiddle, he has the power to breathe life into things that are dead. It is said that in the dead of night, if you listen closely, you can faintly hear Christopher Wood playing in the darkness. |
