HUNTING OGELDORPH is a short film dedicated to the delusional assumption that the answers to our dreams and happiness lie outside of ourselves. Gorko, a young man in search of fame and fortune in the music industry, goes on a search to find a man called, Ogeldorph. Ogeldorph has attained success as a musical artist. Gorko thinks if he can meet his hero/idol, somehow by osmosis, fame and success will rub off on him. Gorko has heard of a man named Jani Baldooki, also a famous musical artist who supposedly knows Ogeldorph and where he lives; somewhere on the Pinnipido road. Gorko enlists Jani Baldooki to take him to Ogeldorph. Jani knows Gorko has no talent but agrees to take him to show him the folly of his ways. After a long, hard walk down the Pinnipido road, and a frightful meeting with a gun toting fortune teller named Falcana, Gorko, out of fear and exhaustion ends his quest just as Jani had predicted. The film is dedicated to the great European film makers of the 1950’s and 1960’s. |
