Mediocre show. I watched a couple episodes and most likely wont bother finishing the season as it’s just stale and average. It’s a shame because the books it is based on were really good and when I found out they were adapting it for a TV show I was hopeful, especially since another very similar adaptation “The Passage” got canceled. But, this show is just as blah average as that was. It’s always a let down when the source material creates so many great story possibilities and then the show runners don’t take advantage.
Acting, plot, characters, everything, is just average. I’d give it a 5/10. For a genre show to have on in the background while not really focusing it’s fine. But those hoping for a new world to inhabit or anything with depth will be disappointed.
