Enjoying this Japanese perspective of the excellent Clavell novel (which he based on the historic Tokugawa Ieyasu). While watching I’m constantly trying to recognize familiar locations. The majority of filming took place in Port Moody and Ucluelet, British Columbia… :}

I’m near Victoria. It’s always fun catching local spots, but it’s getting so common that it’s not even surprising anymore. We basically live in Hollywood now. Excited to see how they;re used in Shogun tho, starting now.
