Absolutely loved this show. I remember when it came out and the years that followed, any time someone brought it up, I thought it was some corny teeny bopper show for girls. Man was I wrong. I loved it all, every episode, every season all the way up to the end. That’s saying a lot seeing how it’s a whopping FIFTEEN seasons. I binged all 15 seasons in about a year, give or take, when this site was down so I can’t write a super fresh just finished review.
I came across this when I was looking for a show to watch when I didn’t have time for a movie or just wanted something to put on immediately to watch. First couple episodes were iffy and low budget but after around 5-6 I started to love it. If you like 80’s music, Slap stick jokes, and just a couple of bro’s having some beers and killing the, dare I say, Supernatural. Then you’ll love this show. I had A LOT of laughs with Sam & Dean along the way. What a ride it was, a glorious ride, in a black 1967 Chevy Impala.
Just want to give a shout out to all the supporting cast as well. They added a bunch of flavor to the episodes, seasons, or even the the rest of the show for some. Writing this is making me miss the comradery I felt watching the boys kick some ass. Again, great show. 9/10 maybe even 9.5.
I will say the last two episodes were a, what the fuck were you thinking, reaction from me. I was watching on netflix and it just plays the next episode after one finishes, I did know I didn’t have many episodes left and it was coming to a close. So the episode finishes and I go, “Ahhhh, damn it’s finally over. Well it was a great ride. Good rap up”. Then it says, Starting next episode in 5 seconds. I audibly said, what the hell, there’s more???? Then I check and there’s two more episodes left… The last two gave me a, fire the people that thought of this, moment. Almost ruined the amazing 15 seasons with this horrible bad taste left in my mouth.
Third to last episode, we rap up the arc and basically finish. We see a bunch of flash backs over the last 15 seasons and closure. It’s great. We can just end and know Sam & Dean are still out there kicking ass and taking names. Then the second to last episode is totally whacky. Then the last episode you kill Dean?????????????? And show this stupid 5 minutes of Sam growing old in horrible make up lol. Who the hell thought of this. Seriously, get fired. Thank god the very last of the show is a ride in the Impala with an amazing cover of Carry on My Wayward Son. That thankfully rinsed that bad taste out and helped me forget what I just watched.
