I kind of thought that too. That it took too long before he actually became the crow or whatever. But after thinking about it for a bit I changed my mind. He is doing all this because he loved his GF he cared about nothing else besides her. . They had to flesh that out a ton or it would of felt hollow. Would just feel like him going on a murderous rampage because he is will have cool action scenes. Also towards the end in the opera house I thought those scenes were pretty badass. He seemed so menacing to me. I kept thinking man how terrifying wolverine and Deadpool would be in real life. You can’t do anything to stop them. They just keep coming.
Except in the original film they got all of that across in about fifteen minuets and not around the forty minutes that it takes this film to cover that exact same story.
