Gladiator was not based on a “real life”. It just fuses together various recorded incidents spread out over 600 years, and ascribed these to one fictional character.
It’s not in any way, shape or form, historically accurate.
I wasn’t talking about the story I was talking about the “sport” itself which was a real life thing and as a result of that is having a gladiator riding a rhino whilst it is a cool image nobody’s going to ever deney that it’s also something that is unrealistic as those characters would be more focused on just trying to survive until the end of the fight and not trying to do something cool.
