I guess I am one of the few who doesn’t have a smartphone and the reason, I’m rarely on my flip phone. Yes, you read that right, and I can’t justify paying over a $1000 for a phone that I won’t use that often. I work at a university and I’ve seen students step out into the crosswalk and not look to see if someone is driving toward them. They’re looking down at their smartphones! Students will come into my office and ask where room 703 is and tell on the 7th floor. There’s a 7th floor?!?! Yes, I reply and have you not noticed one end of the building is higher than the other end? No, never noticed. Well, I guess you never look up from your smartphone to notice anything! Thank goodness I don’t have an addictive personality!
