Obviously the directing, cinematography, acting, set craftsmanship etc are excellent but it’s all negated by the lack of an engaging story and character development. It feels more like an excuse to cast a dozen of famous actors.
The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou were excellent, this is not it.
