Combining action and drama with ride-or-die friendship and humor, Lethal Weapon reimagines the hit movie franchise, as it follows classic cop duo Riggs and Murtaugh, who work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.
Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective Martin Riggs moves to California to "start over" at the LAPD. He's paired up with Roger Murtaugh, who's just coming back to the job after a near-fatal heart attack. Riggs' penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh's prudent, by-the-book technique.

I’m on a binges right now with this show: been here for four days now: there is a lot to see. Pity I quit drinking 1.5 years ago; it would have been a lot more fun! Thanks for providing this show for my entertainment. I have had a blast!
If you’re pissed off right now, wait ‘till you hear that Damon Wayans is leaving the show after the completion of this season.
To all the haters that believed it was Crawford’s own fault he got kicked off the show… where is your God now? Go to YouTube and search Episode 309 of Drinkin’ Bros Podcast and you’ll hear the whole truth. Which, combined with this new development should tell you all you need to know.
I know. I read the same thing about Wayans, and his supposed excuse for quitting. He should have told the truth, about how his poor fragile ego couldn’t handle not being top dog. It wasn’t Crawford’s fault at all of why he got kicked off the show …. the blame resides with Wayans first of all, and then with the producers who chose to molly-coddle a cast member that had a bigger name and history in media. Clayne was the breath of the show. The personality and charisma. Wayans knew that, and his prima donna ego didn’t like that. All I can say is that I sincerely hope that Wayans attitude in this, is remembered by all producers, directors, writers, etc …. and that he reaps the backlash in any future work. And that Clayne’s talent goes on to bigger and better success from this. Might not happen, but that’s my wish. Good things come to those that deserve it ….. and I feel that Clayne Crawford most definitely deserves it.
And I wish the same for Seann William Scott, who also got shafted in all this ….. the little I’ve seen him in his role in the show, he would have been great. Because of Wayans, he’s now out of a job as well. So, I wish him the best of success from all this in his future acting endeavors.
I don’t hate the new man, but I too miss Crawford very much. He brought so much to the show—-and I hope he gets many new, profitable gigs in the future. So much talent there!
I’ve never been a fan of Damon Wayans before this show, but I feel he’s carried his part quite well. I always thought him and Clayne Crawford had an unmatchable on-line comedy chemistry between them, that made this show outstanding … and was upset to hear the news of Crawford not returning. I’m willing to give Seann William Scott a shot though, see how he does with the 3rd season … but I agree with you, I too believe Crawford was a HUGE part of this show getting a 3rd season. Scott has some mighty big shoes to fill this season …. it’ll be interesting to see how he does. :)
