The Mod Squad involved three hipper-than-hip undercover cops with a touch of menace and plenty of attitude. Younger looking than they were, these three police officers were able to earn the confidence of the bad guys, infiltrate their domain, and then bust their backsides while still looking good. Miami Vice was still a decade away. The Mod Squad paved the way for hip and happening PO-lice on TV! |

Michael Cole, one of the 3 stars of this crime drama has passed away. I do remember watching a few episodes as a kid. But being a kid, I didn’t have a say as to what we watched. I might have to watch this, and it might take me awhile to watch all 5 seasons and surprisingly, each season has one link except for season 3 episode 24. I’m sure I can find episode 24 on youtube. This show was a bit ahead of its time by casting a black man in one of the 3 leading roles. Clarence Williams III was a great actor who portrayed Hayes and I’ve always been a sucker for deep voices. Peggy Lipton, Clarence Williams III, and Michael Cole, RIP!
