This week Alan and the team head to Canterbury to meet an outstanding soldier Gurkha Hari Budha Magar (36) and his young family.Despite tragically losing both his legs in the Afghanistan war in an IUD incident, Hari remains focused on helping others. Most recently, the selfless hero made the journey to Cumbria to help pensioners whose homes were hit by this year's terrible floods.Although he thinks nothing of going out of his way for others, his own garden has remained a challenge he can't manage. So his friends and colleagues asked Alan and the team to help. With Hari's Nepalese homeland in mind, they transform his awkward, overlooked corner plot into a colourful private sanctuary for the whole family. So popular is this young Gurkha even Joanna Lumley pops up to wish him well. |
