Series such as ‘All That' and ‘The Amanda Show,' among others, were obsessively consumed by children across the country and defined comedy for a generation. But behind the upbeat onscreen presence on these shows with questionable jokes and over-the-top sketches, ‘Quiet on Set' reveals an insidious environment rife with allegations of abuse, sexism, racism, and inappropriate dynamics with its underage stars and crew.

Having just watched the first two episodes of this and are currently watching the third episode this show it makes me wonder just how deep this rabbit hole goes and it makes me really wonder what other shows were affected not only on Nickelodeon but also on Disney Channel amongst many other shows as well.

Stunning eposé that needs and should only be taken in doses. It it heart-rending and horrific. What the actual f**k people? Do you actually suppose that abuse is only for adults??? #stopchildabuse #speakoutonabuse

This show is going to be super important for alot of survivors of abuse and it’s going to shine a big old spotlight on alot of the shows that Nickelodeon and others like Disney did and let us all hope that Hollywood learns never ever to hire people like Dan Schneider and KNOW abuser and someone who really likes playing with little kids including Drake Bell Brian Peck ever ever and ever again.

I watched some of these shows with my kids when they were growing up (Zack & Cody, iCarly, Drake & Josh) and thinking now, I don’t remember anything being off. That’s not to say I didn’t back then, but that was 20 years ago and I have a hard time remembering what I did last week. That being said, NOW I understand why some of these young actors/actress’ spiraled out of control back then. I was abused by my uncle and also my Dad’s best friend, I never told anyone because I didn’t think they’d believe me. When I finally did, many, many years later, I found out my uncle had also abused my older sister and our Mom when she was a child. My grandmother knew of the abuse of our Mom, but at that time (1950’s) it was never spoken about or hardly ever acknowledged. When I found this out, I had mixed feelings towards my grandmother - I was angry but also sympathetic because who would have believed her at that time? I watched this over 5 days, just couldn’t binge it as it hit way to close to home. Anyone who is being abused, or if you know someone is, PLEASE tell someone!
