Disgusting series. These people should be in jail for environmental terrorism, not have their own show. What’s wrong with the world?
so true. The trees are the lungs of the earth. The more trees they remove the more our quality of air deteriorates.
No thanks netflix I like to see trees firmly rooted in the ground
There is nothing wrong with cutting down trees if they are replanted.
I have done both, logged for few years, planted a few seasons, 1 area I planted has been harvested twice since I was a kid and is ready for a 3rd harvest. Better than building with imported product or plastics…
Have you ever cut down a 1000yo tree and built a toolshed with it? Because that’s what these guys are doing.
No but used 1000 year old reclaimed lumber to build a bar once.. again, have not watched it..
clearcutting the side of a mountain that is all rock. Those trees aren’t coming back soon, and if you have treeplanted, you know all the trees around the clearcut are doomed to weather and exposure. I didn’t know clearcut was still allowed. Sneaky they don’t show you the clearcutting happening, that would have started the show in an honest way. I already empathise for the rookie on the show, he didn’t think ahead when he signed on and will find out what it means to be a “famous” logger.
I did not get a chance to watch any yet, going to after holiday weekend, certainly would be tough to get growth on rocky hill for sure, areas we did were all sand all flat lands, all forestry managed… but 90% of what they do here is clearcut. 20 years later looks like woods again.. 1 area they did cut, still waiting to see if they replant, just bushes there now.. good blueberry picking anyhow and lots of grouse…
A show about destroying the environment for profit
