Star Trek: Enterprise (ENT) focuses on the 22nd century adventures of Captain Jonathan Archer aboard the Enterprise NX-01 during the early days of interstellar travel. The NX designation indicates that this Enterprise is an experimental prototype; Unlike the starships of the four other Star Trek series, this Enterprise doesn't have deflector shields or phasers, but it does come equipped with a phase cannon and a rudimentary transporter that functions efficiently most of the time.

This was a great series and deserved more seasons.

TrixenTreats 4 points 3 years ago.

It may have gotten more seasons if not for that god awful theme song!

puppy528 2 points 3 years ago.

I remember there being a more traditional “alternative” version on youtube back then. No clue if it was a fan-made version or just not used. I’m sure a quick search would be able to find it again. I agree that the one we got was a poor choice, regardless.

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago*.

OMG! That is exactly what I was thinking and was about to post the same comment! I just started watching and I’m on episode 3 but the theme song is JUST ALL WRONG! It reminds me of some outdoors/backwoods kind of song that you would see on a romance show/movie! I just fast forward so I don’t have to hear it. The one thing I didn’t like about TNG was the opening! It took FOREVER to get through and no music nothing for several seconds. I’ve often wondered why some shows had a long intro! If they had shortened it, there could have been 50 minutes instead of 45-46 minutes of show time.

Piglet 2 points 2 years ago.

I’m on episode 14 of season 1 and I can’t stand T’Pol! I know Vulcans show no emotion but I could tolerate Spock and he was half human. But T’Pol comes off being a total B*H to the point I’d really love to slap her! I repeat that I know Vulcans don’t show emotion but for the love of God, could she be a bit more likeable?

asclepias 1 points 5 years ago. 3/5 stars.

Ah, as a die-hard Trekkie this one was always the least interesting to me. One of the newer series but in many aspects feels the most dated. 3/5. If I were to recommend: Deep Space Nine 5/5, great writing and stellar cast - self-introspection and the meaning of existence as well as science. That one really captures the essence of the best of sci fi.

As someone who has been watching Star Trek since the late 60’s, all the shows are fantastic, and interesting, to me. The films included. Even some fan-based films are pretty cool.

LOL! But can you guess who was behind the Puppet? Find out HERE!

Prepare to hide your eyes again, then. You can see the front of that Puppet HERE.

Alien 1 points 5 years ago*.

I knew Clint Howard played Balok but what does that have to do with the creepy puppet face in the end credits of each episode?

RoboPhone 2 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

If you look closely to the beginning of that Clip above, you will see the back of the puppet’s head. You can see the front of that Puppet HERE.

Alien 1 points 5 years ago.

Ohhhh. Ok. So Balok was literally sitting behind the puppet.
Ahahaha. Clever, Robo.

RoboPhone 1 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Clever??? Think FANatic! Look what someone actually created and marketed HERE.
But Wait! There’s More! Apparently they made others and can be seen HERE with their proud owner/model.
Caution! It’s a tad NSFW and lacks a bit of good judgement of whoever thought of it, so click at your discretion!

Alien 1 points 5 years ago.

OMG! You know that can’t be unseen.
Pay no attention to the man behind the globes, folks.
Those globes are truly unique, though.

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago.

That creepy character is Clint Howard, Ron Howard’s younger brother. Clint holds some distinction of………”He is one of very few if any who has had a unique four generation Star Trek run, including episodes in Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Enterprise, all the way to Star Trek: The Original Series.” I just finished watching an episode STE and he was playing a Ferengi. I instantly recognized those intense blue eyes and even though he looked like a Ferengi, I also recognized his mouth and voice.

If you are a fan of TOS, you will L.O.V.E. the fan-made continuation Series:

I watched the first episode a few months back. Not bad.
I have all the Youtube links saved in Notepad.
I have so many things to watch, though, so I save some things for when shows take season breaks. Thanks for the reminder, Robo.

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago.

Now I understand why the theme music was changed. Clever, very clever and fitting with this 2 part episode.

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago.

I’m now on episode 18 of season 4 AND NOW THEY DECIDE TO CHANGE THE THEME SONG! But I guess when they did this they didn’t know season 4 would be the final season.

prism 1 points 2 years ago.

I hated the fact that they made the last season to be a holodeck programme for Riker. Jonathan Frakes didn’t agree with it and thought it was an unfair way to end the series.

Piglet 1 points 2 years ago*.

I’m about to watch this episode. Wasn’t TNG in the 24th century and STE was in the 22nd century maybe. It will be interesting to see how it is explained. I do find the STE is much, much better and believable than TNG. Well, I may change my mind when I start watching Star Trek: Voyager.
