The first episode is fun. I like the Robot Chicken (stop motion dolls) approach to the animation. It was cool seeing all of those guns from 90s Kenner Marvel (mostly X-Men) action figures, too. But that derivative nature is a shade of things to come. This show is, unfortunately, a slip `n slide into mediocrity that pretty blatantly rips its ideas off of other more or less successful shows like Son of Zorn (2016) and Family Guy. By episode 4 I’d lost my stomach for it. And that’s crazy considering the effort they put into casting voices for it. But maybe that’s where all the money Disney gave them went? Nathan Fillion doesn’t come cheap—he’s the Bruce Campbell of the 21st Century.

I can stand the stop-motion style, and Jon Hamm voicing Iron Man….but the writing is garbage, the humor is not original and non-existent and the sub-plot situations are a carbon copy of hundreds of below par sitcoms still being produced today. Yes this is Marvel Robot Chicken, but the content should be minimized to a Robot Chicken segment or a special 90 minute release every 3 years. I would prefer MARVEL and DISNEY kill off every character in this production(Iron Man’s already dead) and make it canon.

M.O.D.O.K. Is C.R.A.P.!.

Patton Oswalt is a perfect choice for MODOCK. Other than that, this is some absolute hot garbage. I’ve laughed harder at a funeral.

And to think—we could have had at least 30 more Robot Chickens instead of this.

And think that they earned more money doing this than with all the seasons of Robot Chicken

Yeh, I’ll bet yer right. But I also bet they had a helluva lot more fun making R Chicken, and it shows.

well then we are lucky. robot chicken is ignorant as hell.

Yeah, I thot the same thing when I first saw R. Chicken. Months later, and since the eps are only 12 min long, I watched another and saw a tiny bit of humor in it. I watched another months after that, realized how rapid fire hilarious it really was and I was hooked. Big fan now.

lasted 10 mins - the voices are very irritating - hard pass

This sounds like it’s going to be funny. Hope it is. Never heard of it though

He’s a marvel villain a lot of people don’t like lol. Sort of Marvel’s equivalent of Mr. Mytzylpyk from the DC universe.

UGuess 3 points 3 years ago.

ok cool thanks

I’d say more like Dr. Psycho but yeah.

I like the style change. Something different. Normally I don’t like stop animation. Got bored of it after Gumby when I was a kid. Had some problems staying focused watching each episode, but I didn’t turn it off either.
Don’t like anime much either. They go cheap when they don’t have to.
I like Patton Oswald so I kept watching. Patton Oswald is in so much now because he is good at what he does. I didn’t recognize the other voice actors, but maybe that is a good thing. I get immersed better with up and coming talented actors, live or animated. Seth green, Beck Bennett, Bill Hader, Whoopi Goldberg, and Chris Parnell all slipped by me without noticing. Talent! Jon Hamm was just as good and a little less neurotic as Iron Man.
Almost as good as Robot Chicken, the humor is good, but with a longer runtime and a more mature audience it has to be tamer. With a normal run time it is harder to maintain constant humor and plot points.
I hope to see more shows from Marvel Studios.
