Margaret Rutherford as "Miss Marple"
Description:

Agatha Christie is perhaps one of the wordโ€™s best-selling authors of all time. She is best known for her detective novels, short story collections, plays and famous detective sleuths Hercule Poirot and of course, Miss Marple.

During the 1960โ€™s four of the Miss Marple Murder Mysteries were adapted for the screen, starring Margaret Rutherford as the titular character. She was one of several incarnations of Miss Marple, including Angela Lansbury, who would later star in the popular TV Series Murder, She Wrote, which was an American reinvention of the Miss Marple character.

However, this Playlist is devoted to Margaret Rutherfordโ€™s portrayal of Miss Marple. She is my favorite of them all as she combined all the elements of the great sleuth with just a sprinkle of whimsical irony that I relished while reading the novels the following movies were based on.

This list is short, but oh so sweet.

Enjoy!
