Centered around an actor, Michael, who has an audition for ‘The Notebook’, the film captures a destabilized narrative of Michael auditioning for a movie that has long ago been cast. As the story unravels, a complicated portrait depicting Michael, an actor struggling in front of the camera, begins to emerge. Further, a relationship between the director, who utilizes the camera as both a technical and artistic tool, and the actor, who is both mirroring and mirrored by the camera, becomes apparent through the structural and cinematic gestures executed throughout the film. |
