Mike Garcia and The Cruz is a comedy about Mike, a Santa Cruz punk rocker and university computer technician, who inadvertently lets the Chancellor’s laptop get stolen by a crew of bureaucratic anarchists. Mike fearful Chancellor Robertson will expel him from school vows to retrieve it. After talking to his Gothic gamer roommate, Susan, Mike realizes he must get help from Ryan, an over the top bearded hipster ecstasy dealer, someone he vowed to never deal with again. After an awkward meeting with Ryan, he’s introduced to Vanessa, a tough as nails roller derby girl. Along with Susan, his Gothic gamer roommate, Vanessa, and Ryan, they hatch a plan to retrieve it.
