A boy’s family is torn apart after a terrible scooter vs. car race. He now must force himself to become a man and protect the family name. But before he can become a man he must get on the slide. Getting on the Slide is the epic tale of Garth Bingum and his attempt to avenge his brother, an all star scooter racer and once promising sculptor, in a race of wits against the villainous school bully Vince Vulgerstien.
