Nawal is a young TV presenter, caught between her relationship and success in her career, and trapped by tradition and the “old ways”. She loves Ahmed - even donating him her kidney when he suffered renal failure. Done with her studies, she moves back home, and waits for him, while gradually becoming successful as a TV presenter. Ahmed comes back, but starts playing around; paying attention to his mother’s old opinions, he consents to ask Nawal to be his “second wife”. And so begin her travels between the psychiatrist and cigarettes… |
