Inspired by the Biblical story of the prodigal son, ‘A Long Way Off’ is a heartfelt drama about a father and the love he has for his two daughters. The story begins on a nostalgic farm home and follows Katie, who struggles with a deep desire for her father’s affection. Although she’s always obedient, she can’t seem to get her father to notice her. Meanwhile, Jessica seems to be the favored child, able to get away with anything, including stealing her father’s money and running away. Tension grows between Katie and her father in the quiet house as they must sort through feelings of bitterness and favoritism in order to reach understanding and redemption. Directed by David Michael Warren. |
