Soul Cat Confession, adapted from a novella of the same name, explores a universe where, for decades, society’s elite have opted out of fatal disease and death, choosing Cryogenic Freezing instead. There are million currently on ice waiting cures for their terminal diseases. At the heart of the story is Luke Putnam, heir to the company that pioneered the technology. Both his father and beloved wife, Sylvia, are in deep freeze. But the cure to his dad’s disease has just been found, he’ll be a part of the first wave ever thawed. What no one yet knows is that the freezing process kills the soul. All those in deep freeze are soulless and will only have Darwinian virtues, eat, drink, mate, fight, kill. |
