Smitty, a charming lay-about bull-rider, gets his comeuppance at the hands of Doc, a wily retired scientist, when Chanelle, Smitty’s pet goat (shared in joint custody with his ex, Ruby) gets ticks. Smitty stiffed Doc by taking a farrier’s fee and not putting shoes on Doc’s horse. Doc seizes the opportunity for revenge and sets Smitty up to dye Chanelle purple. The Law of Unintended Consequences intervenes and Smitty’s wife and neighbors are also dyed purple. A contrite Smitty decides to shoe Doc’s horse as Ruby conspires to seek suitable revenge on Smitty. |
