George is an old man living in a big house with a convenient woman. Rosy is an ex-prostitute, 30 years younger than George but smart enough to see the advantages in being the old man’s girlfriend. George has particular sexual appetites and that gives Rosy leverage where her lover is concerned - and she’s going to use it. What Rosy wants most is to be the major beneficiary of George’s will in which his large house is the main asset. Rosy figures she’s got the house in the bag as George’s only child ran off ten years earlier and hasn’t been seen since. Kaara is suffering the effects of long-term drug abuse. She’s run out of friends, boyfriends and agencies to scab money off. Her whole world fits into one old duffle bag. She’s homeless and having health issues but she hasn’t fallen far enough down the addiction cliff to give up her habit. After running away with a boyfriend ten years earlier, Kaara has decided to go home and see what she can get out of her long neglected father. Her family home would be a perfect prize, an asset to bargain drug money against. She’s his only living relative; it should be easy, right? When Rosy and Kaara meet, the lines of battle are drawn; the women hate each other on sight. Rosy has age and street smarts but Kaara has a habit that must be fed no matter what she has to do. Who wins when everyone starts out a loser? |
