The Invisible People Of The Upper West Side creators set out to explore the issue of homelessness in the affluent Upper West Side neighborhood in New York City. With the ever-increasing numbers of homeless people on the Upper West Side, we wondered why they have chosen to call that area “home”. What attracted them to the Upper West Side? When you listen to the stories from these less fortunate individuals, you will quickly learn what drew them into this lifestyle. You will learn of their psychosocial issues, chronic substance abuse, self-imposed isolation and serious health issues.
