Three generations live on this strictly paternalistic run farm in rural Bavaria, close to the former Eastern Bloc border. There is the rude senior farmer with his demented wife and their son who farms the property together with his two daughters Elisabeth and Ingrid. In isolation of such a sparse countryside, this authoritarian arrangement works untroubled until grandfather’s will turns the family’s hierarchy upside down. |
