Details:

Very few steam train tours in Australian railway history, have matched the scale of QR’s 140th anniversary trip from Brisbane to Kuranda and back. Seven carriages and a dining car are set to be hauled by BB18 ¼ 1089, over a distance of almost 3500 kilometres, through the numerous cities, rainforests and national parks on Queensland’s spectacular north coast railway. But when disaster strikes at Pomona, diesels are called to the rescue and the train is towed into the original Maryborough station. After emergency repairs by engineers, the loco is still unable to proceed…
