Caro Francis is a documentary about Paulo Francis who, as of the end of the 60’s, transformed the Brasilian journalism. On his own way Francis denounced every day the impossibility of intelligent life in the mainstream thought - no matter which was the mainstream thought at that moment. He was aggressive, lucid and irreverent for sure. Caro Francis is a simple exercise of choosing among the multiple Francis as seen by the people who gravitated around him. The successful journalist, the tormented writer, the disappointed trotskist, the Wagner music’s enthusiastic and the Carnival’s popular tunes. |
