Working late at night and thinking himself alone in the office. Ahmed, a middle aged Arab man is pulled away from his work by the echoing boom of music being played elsewhere in the building, music he has not heard in years. He investigates and is eventually brought to face the profound distance between the young man he used to be and the man he is today, as well as the Arab worlds these two personalities knew and the events of the sixty plus years that seem to divide them. |
