Grainne Young’s fiance, Lance has been missing for 7 years. She has given up all hope of ever seeing him again when he reappears out of nowhere on Halloween - the time when ours and the fairy worlds merge. They go back to their apartment where he tells her he’s been in Tir na n’Og all this time, but she’s not having any of it. He picks up a letter from the bank where he learns she is in financial trouble and may lose their apartment. He decides to take matters into his own hands and try and solver her problems by using his newfound powers. Unfortunately, he conjures up a dark fairy he has no control over and is about to kill the banker when Grainne wakes him up from his trance. They go back to their apartment when Grainne gives him an earful. Lance is distracted by the fairies in the stone cirlce calling him and tells her he can bring her with him. Grainne’s heart is broken. She tells him to leave and he goes and when he does, she breaks down and cries herself to sleep. When she wakes up, she hears and sees the fairies calling her. She runs to the stone circle to be with the semi divine beings from the other world, but they disappear on her. She goes up to the tree where Lance had carved their initials at the spot where he proposed to her and she cries again. She wakes up in the other-world and runs to Lance and when they kiss, their souls are joined in spiritual harmony and they live happily ever after in the afterlife within the stone circle of Silver Hill. |
