Social isolation and stigma are huge problems in the brain injury community. But they’re really hard to talk about. This short comedy brings to life disability discrimination and communication breakdowns. Set like The Dating Game, three characters with brain injury attempt to navigate friending each other following the rules of a host who just doesn’t get it. Filled with surrealist and absurdist comedy, the film opens up a dialog about some very painful parts of reality. In this film we show that people with brain injuries are capable, competent, and complete. We are people. We are not brain injuries. |
