‘Mugstar’, a four piece, Psych Rock band from Liverpool, embark on a thirteen date European tour to promote their fourth album, ‘Lime’. Starting in Paris, where they perform with ‘Loop’ and ‘Godflesh’ front man Robert Hampson, the band travel south, through the Basque Country, into Portugal and down to the southern tip of Spain where they support the legendary Hawkwind at the world renowned Monkey Week Festival held every year in the courtyard of a breathtaking 16th century monastery near Cadiz. ‘Breaking Spain’ is a blow by blow travelogue offering a unique and intimate insight into the band’s tour of Europe. Performing at clubs, bars and squats, clocking up nearly 6,000 miles, the film features exclusive footage from each and every gig of the tour. Also included are four music videos of their most popular tracks. This feature length documentary is an honest and open account of the band’s first attempt at ‘Breaking Spain’.
