Johnny and Caroline run small jobs for the mob. They’re posted on a stakeout to watch a man named Parker when Darrow calls them off the job. When they return to Darrow, he presents them with a gun and a shovel. The opportunity at promotion is tempting to Caroline, but Johnny knows the price it comes with is too much to bear. The two of them head to a run down mall where they hope to find their mark, but are greeted with an all-too prepared Parker who ignites a shoot out followed by a hot pursuit. Parker escapes due to Johnny’s hesitation and Caroline’s impulsiveness. Before Johnny and Caroline turn in for the night, Johnny receives a phone call from Parker and is offered a tempting choice to switch sides with and bring down Darrow. After seeing Caroline’s utter disgust after his failure to kill Parker, Johnny decides its in both their best interests to follow Parker’s lead. After successfully luring Johnny out of the picture, Parker makes an attempt on Darrow’s life on his own terms. Johnny soon receives an angry phone call from Darrow, telling him to report to the house. When he arrives, he sees a wounded Parker bound to a chair. Darrow lectures Johnny on the consequences of being indecisive and offers him the chance to redeem himself. With gun in hand, can Johnny sit there and submit to Darrow? Or will Johnny take his own path once and for all?
