In a dressing room Sanna is turning herself into a clown. She is about to participate in a class in clown-technique. Sanna is there because she wants people to laugh at her and think she’s funny. But what if she isn’t? The leader of the class is a very eccentric man. He teaches his participants that in order to find their inner clown they first have to locate their inner vulnerability. As it turns out all of the participants carry their own personal problems; bad breakups, death in the family, depressions… As the class progresses it more and more turns into a confrontation with the vulnerability. The leader is flaunting with the words: “Without death life is nothing but a fucking comedy!”. Everything he teaches has it’s foundation in that anxiety and downfall is funny. The class slowly turns into a nightmare. |
