Metin and his family are devout Muslims living in Cologne. The young man discovered religion through his father figure Hüseyin, in the head of the Islamic community. When Hüseyin launches an investment fund, Metin convinces his family and friends to put all their savings in it. Though the community’s respected Hodja warns them, he cannot reveal all he knows, since he’s a mole reporting to Höffgen of the German Intelligence. The fund collapses and Metin becomes the target of mighty and sinister forces when he tries to find out the truth about the fund. To break his will, his enemies kill the Hodja and Metin’s wife, and seriously injure his young son. A link is then found between the fund and the murders: the savings of hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslims throughout Europe have been laundered in Turkey and passed out to terror organizations. Meanwhile Höffgen, who has lost his informant, forces the despondent Metin to infiltrate a terror camp in Iran to learn more about a planned terrorist attack in Germany. Metin’s cover is blown, but in a last-minute operation, he is saved by the Turkish Intelligence. The information he brings back helps Höffgen - and opens Metin’s eyes tot he real role played by Hüseyin. |
