Set in Alexandria, Louisiana, three stories intertwine when people from different walks of life are affected by a robbery gone wrong. Phoenix desperately needs to raise enough money to pay a debt he owes to a ruthless bookie in order to protect his family. After his initial plans fail, he decides to rob a convenience store. A nurse’s aid goes to extreme lengths to help him and must go into hiding as a result. A homeless male prostitute is arrested for the ensuing deaths, and an evangelical pastor, who is a former alcoholic, loses his daughter. |
