Newspaper reporters have oft-times got things rather mixed and caused endless trouble and worry because of their erroneous statements and misconceptions of facts, and the present series of views serves to illustrate very vividly how a bit of information in the hands of an over-zealous reporter caused a flurry in the financial world. Happily, subsequent information reaching the reporter enables him to remedy matters. The substance of the story was not pertaining to the possibility of war, as the reporter presumed, but had reference to a suit of clothes concerning which the Ambassador complained. |
