Chunky, simpleton-faced and slightly effeminate, “Wiffles” is also, unlikely as it seems, like catnip to girls. A group of them collaborate and put on a beauty competition for men. Wiffles does some primping before he goes to the contest. The girls all vote for him over the assembled other men. Unfortunately, the film stops there. (I saw the extant British print). |
