Kings tells the story of two best friends, James and Monty, reconciling their relationship to each other during a night of intoxicated self destruction. James is impulsive while Monty is a hyper-intelligent introvert, and the two of them want nothing more than to escape from themselves and possess what they lack and the other has. The film is told backwards and forwards at the same time. As James and Monty’s night of drinking, driving recklessly and fighting unfolds, it becomes clear that these two timelines may not be so different after all.
