Imani is a Muslim girl who along with her twin brother Ikram has a love of music. They secretly buy tickets to Glastonbury festival, but their mother finds and destroys them telling Imani that the only way she will EVER go to Glastonbury festival is in a burka. Despite her brothers critical condition, he is in a coma in hospital, the feisty and determined Imani dons her mothers ill fitting burka and hitch hikes to the festival alone, letting the cultural rubber of her 2nd generation Pakistani life meet the road. |
