Tired and washed-up veteran Borsch Belt stand-up comedian Manny Schmeckstein dies of a heart attack while performing his lousy act on stage. Manny goes straight to hell for a lifetime of bad jokes. However, the Devil gives Manny a chance at redemption: If Schmeckstein can get a single laugh from one of his jokes, he can then go to Heaven. |
