We meet Lemuel, consultant for a road kill TV cookery show as he embarks on his nightly harvest along country lanes to seek out fresh produce for his friend and employer, the narcissistically deranged celebrity chef, Eddy Sunday. Whilst out on Rainham Marsh he fishes a strange creature from a bog. Under pressure from Eddy, in the hope of boosting his flagging career, they embark on a quest to discover the true nature of the beast as revealed by a shamanic maggot farmer named Manditch, the last in the line of a near feral tribe living alone in the remote wilds of the Kent countryside. |
