ESMEE DRACULA is the story of schlock producer Morrie Kaufman, who has scheduled a meeting this afternoon with a beautiful young actress of that name. He waits in the empty restaurant, fully intending to pull a casting-couch routine on her, but when she arrives, Esmee looks much older than in her headshot; moreover, she claims to be a real vampire, who can thus lend authenticity to the producer’s B-movies. We are then treated to an intense exchange between two larger-than-life characters. |
