★★★★★ Esther Williams paired again with Johnson in this great Big Band Swing musical that is centered on her romantically, but is also heavy on Tommy Dorsey, especially drummer Buddy Rich, who is featured in a jammin’ live small combo not unlike a Benny Goodman style quartet. Every Dorsey song is a classic. Opera singer Lauritz Melchior is spotlighted with his singing & acting also. One of our favs, The King Sisters (4 of the 6) are also filmed doing Say Maybe. ♪♬♪♫

The Dorsey tunes are standouts from Opus One to a wonderful Song Of India as well as Helene Stanley on the piano kicking off The Guy With Slide Trombone via the Hungarian Rhapsody.
