Details:

A visit to four West German cities a few years after World War II. In Hamburg, buildings are going up in large numbers, but the destruction of war is still visible. We visit the city’s zoo. In Bremmen, we see a few landmarks, including the town hall, and a busy river port. In Munich, there cheese and beer, Bavaria’s finest. Last, we stop in Heidelberg - no longer the scene of the student prince, yet with old world charm to go with new commerce. The generosity of the victors and a new-found love of peace marks this nation that may one-day unite with the East.
