A disturbed man takes his final journey into the rural countryside at dawn, having given up hope of finding his inner peace again. He wades through a field of dew soaked reeds and struggles against the uneven terrain. He finally stops and looks at the beautiful sun rise, knowing this will be his final vision of life. He takes the pills out of his pocket and prepares to take them. The pot touches his mouth when a golf ball whistles past his head. He sees a golfer at the top of the hill, who waves in apology. He slyly puts the pills away and moves on. As he comes to terms with his interrupted suicide attempt another balls passes him by. The golfer now stands menacingly motionless. He apprehensively continues walking, glancing back momentarily. When another ball is aimed at him he is drawn to face his assailant. He begins making his way up the hill towards the figure. The balls continue to fly at him and he ducks and dives out of the way. He begins running, picking up the pace as his anger increases. As he closes on the golfer a ball hits him clean on the shoulder sending him tumbling to the ground. After a moment composing himself, he looks back up to see the golfer is gone. He frantically runs to the top of the hill, but finds no one anywhere to be seen. He pulls the pills out of his pocket. What will he do? |
