Photographer and first time film maker Tim White spent four years traveling to the Far North of New Zealand , the result being a book and film project True North/Whakarongomaikio . Documenting the lives of isolated families in the region , self sufficient farmers , local Maori elders and generational farmers now dividing and selling their land to a new generation moving into the area. The project explores themes of peoples relationships to the land ,oral communication , and a spiritual journey. |
