A solitary driver in coat, tie, and dark glasses crosses the desert to Vegas, checks into a hotel, and, under the bed in his room, locates a box of $100 bills, instructions, and a high-powered rifle. He sets up the rifle on a tripod and waits. He has a drink, looks at a photograph of a child, and thinks about the boy. When it’s time, he points the rifle toward the room of a nearby hotel. |
