After their parents’ divorce, Jake and Alice move from Marin County to Los Angeles. The whole family is stressed but things just keep going downhill when Jake gets beat up at his new school. When they think nothing else could go wrong, they find a mysterious book in their new house. After opening it, the two kids are transported into another dimension with violent creatures and severe conditions. The only way out is to get to the top of a mountain which they climb struggling to survive. |
